Sony Ps5 Pro Playstation 5 Pro

To get the PlayStation 5 Pro tag, called Trinity Enhanced, games must have a Pro-exclusive display mode that delivers 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.

According to a new report Insider Gaming, the Pro Enhanced label will return from the PlayStation 4 Pro days to indicate games that take full advantage of the system’s power. In the case of the PlayStation 5 Pro, the label will be given to games with a Pro-exclusive display mode that will combine upscaling PSSR to 4K resolution, a constant 60 frames per second, and additional or advanced ray tracing effects. This will be possible thanks to faster RAM (28%) and faster GPU (45%) compared to the base model. Together, the faster RAM and GPU will make the Pro 45% faster than the base model and double the rendering speed.

The PlayStation 5 Pro will also get a CPU upgrade, though it won’t be as big as the RAM and GPU upgrades. Still, there are some notable improvements, as the console’s Zen 2 CPU will be denser, thus offering reduced power consumption, better cost efficiency, and a smaller form factor.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is rumored to be released in late 2024. We’ll update you with the system as more come in, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
