Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was the driver of a Lamborghini in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday night in northeast Dallas, his attorney said at a news conference Thursday.
“He admitted to Mr. Rice that he was driving the Lamborghini, and that was the question,” Rice’s attorney, Royce West, said of the police investigation into the crash. He was driving a Lamborghini.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the drivers of the Lamborghini and Corvette were speeding at the time of the accident. The Lamborghini hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision with four other vehicles, the police said.
The drivers of the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene, followed by police. Two other drivers involved in the accident received minor injuries and were treated at the scene, while two passengers in another car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“We met with Dallas PD detectives today regarding Saturday’s accident. I take full responsibility for this matter and will continue to cooperate with the appropriate authorities,” the wide receiver wrote. My sincere apologies to all those affected by Saturday’s accident.
Rice, 23, grew up in Fort Worth’s North Richland Hills and played college football at SMU. The Chiefs drafted him in the second round in 2023, and he emerged as one of their top receivers last season.
In 2023, Rice recorded 938 receiving yards and 79 receptions in 16 regular season games. He had 262 yards and 26 receptions in four playoff games en route to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory.
