Whether you need some peace of mind while working from home or you’re planning some summer road trips, a good pair of wireless headphones is essential to protecting and preserving your sanity. My favorites have been from Sony’s flagship line. I started with Sony’s WF-1000XM4 before the battery drain problem rendered them useless. Otherwise they were great and I liked them enough to give them a shot WF-1000XM5, has not stuck the same thorns in my side to this day. They retail for $299.95, however Amazon is currently selling them for $229.95, which is just a few dollars shy of its all-time low.

The XM5 are Sony’s latest flagship noise-canceling headphones. They’re comfortable and offer excellent sound quality, not to mention noise-canceling technology that drowns out sound extremely well. They also boast excellent call quality and support multi-point connectivity, which allows them to be connected to multiple devices at the same time. The adaptive audio features can be inconsistent and sometimes a bit more trouble than they’re worth, but overall the XM5 easily earns all the points they score for excellent listening and user experience.

Apple’s Magic Keyboard uses powerful magnets to keep the iPad upright. The tablet almost floats in the air when viewed from the front, and the weight of its sturdy base provides enough balance to prevent it from tipping over. It has a wide trackpad, backlit scissor keys with 1mm of travel and a very satisfying feel, and pass-through charging to free up the iPad’s single USB-C port for accessories. If you’re holding onto one of the existing iPads that’s compatible with it, it’s a great option, but there’s always the chance that Apple will introduce a new design in future models that makes them incompatible.
