Recently, a small number of iPhone users in 92 countries received an unexpected notification from Apple.

The notification was clear and alarming: “Apple has detected a targeted, mercenary spyware attack against your iPhone.” He urged users to take the threat seriously. When Apple detects potential spyware activity, affected users are notified in two different ways:
- After logging in appleid.apple.comusers will find the Threat Notice prominently displayed at the top of the web page.
- In addition, Apple sends notifications via email and iMessage directly to the contact information associated with the user’s Apple ID.
Since 2021, Apple has been regularly notifying individuals through this program.

It’s important to note that genuine Apple threat notifications will never require actions such as clicking links, downloading files, installing apps or profiles, or sharing Apple ID credentials. The authenticity of the threat notification can be verified by including appleid.apple.comany legal notices will be prominently displayed upon entry.

By following these basic security practices, you can protect yourself from ever-evolving cyber threats.
